Lynn McBrien was born and raised in New York, but since 1999 Vermont has been her home. Lynn’s Irish ancestors hail from County Cavan. Lynn is a student of Celtic Studies and Spirituality and has her BA in Transpersonal Studies. She loves Ireland — the land, the people, the stories — and is eager to share her enthusiasm and knowledge of this extraordinary country with other like-minded women.

Driving back into Marrakech feels like visiting an old friend – its now familiar boisterousness and crazy traffic welcomes us home. The Hotel Gallia is fabulous – a beautiful comfortable Riad with 19 rooms off a central courtyard. It is literally a stone’s throw from the main square, but surprisingly quiet – and for me a nice wifi internet cafe around the corner. We have a night to get sorted before heading off to the Atlas mountains overnight with just a backpack and sleeping bag. Read more

The Venus Adventurers for this Moroccan trip have finally been gathered together by Julie and Adil in Casablanca. Sue (from Australia), Kate and Erika (from South Africa and Switzerland) and I drove down with them from Marrakech.There we met Angela (from Chicago), Claire and Sarah from New Zealand. With Julie, Adil and some local guides along the way, this will be us for the next two weeks. We have loaded up with the necessaries of water, toilet paper, gin, tonics and beer at the supermarket, and we are ready to roll.
