Travelling as an independent woman is a rewarding and exciting experience – there are so many more things you can learn about yourself (and about the world) when you travel solo – and it leaves you open to meet new people in all the different places you visit. Adventure travel is something everyone should try their hand at once in their lifetime – it’s all about pushing boundaries and pushing your limits. Adventure travelling is about being brave, conquering your fears and trying things you’ve never tried. You’ll return home feeling like an empowered woman!
New Zealand – The Grand Canyon – Europe

1. New Zealand
There are some stunning destinations in New Zealand, and you’d be a fool to give this beautiful country a miss. The landscapes are varied, epic and stunning. The country is famous for its array of adventure sports so you definitely won’t be disappointed, that’s for sure! There are so many activities you can take part in – from rafting and scuba diving – to bungee jumping and base jumping. Your adrenaline will never be higher than during your visit to this incredible country.
2. The Grand Canyon
If you love hiking and walking and tasting adventure, then the Grand Canyon is something you’ll adore. The landscape is stunning and will take your breath away, but it’s exploring the landscape that really creates the amazing memories. The great thing about exploring The Grand Canyon is how many brilliant group tours you can participate in too. These range from small day excursions to week long camping trips – perfect for women who want to meet other like-minded travellers!
3. Europe
Europe is so easily accessible and you can take trains in and out of most countries – which makes it the perfect adventure location. Of course, technically you’ll be exploring many destinations – but by booking a huge road trip and exploring them all at once (in one go) your adventurous spirit will come out! The great thing about Europe is how much history there is to explore and how many great sights and sounds there are to explore to see. You’ll never want to leave.
4. The Great Wall of China
It’s not easy to trek The Great Wall of China, but it’s something that will be an experience of a lifetime. You’ll want to train beforehand – as you’ll need your fitness levels to be pretty strong and high. But prepare for outstanding views, amazing towns along the way – and plenty of photo opportunities. You’ll meet loads of great people along the way too – which is great for those who want dinner buddies in the evenings!
5. Thailand
Maybe rainforests and tropical sunsets are more your cup of tea? If so you’ll fall head over heels in love with Thailand. It’s a great country to explore- as you can easily switch between stunning beaches and huge cities. There’s a huge travelling culture here too – as lots of people flock to this part of the world every year. For a reason though – you’ll struggle to find beaches more perfect than you find here.

It’s true – traveling solo will give you the confidence to do anything! I love traveling to Europe because there is always something new to see or a new place to explore. I always wish I could stay longer when I visit Europe.
