Hi elaine, there is a great website - what to wear on holiday and they have a section on Tunisia (and most other destinations) here: http://www.whattowearonholiday.com/holiday-wardrobe/africa/tunisia/what-to-wear-in-tunisia.php

I have checked the Journeywoman website who have good advice, but not specifically for tunisia, http://www.journeywoman.com/ccc/default.html

hope this helps, let me know how you get on

I am travelling to Tunisia in September. staying at a very large hotel in the North. I have heard that it is necessary to cover up all the time in order not to offend people. I love the beach and swimming in the sea, and our hotel is right on the beach ? I hae loads of shorts but habe heard these are right out, except in the sea ! I like long dresses and skirts, and plan to buy some shrugs and have two white cardigans. Is there anything else I should consider ?

I love this site, looks at what is appropriate for different countries, I am such a bad packer and always take too much. She even has hints for different seasons. Don't be overdressed or underdressed, get it about right with this great advice.
