I really like Lyme Regis it is a really interesting place, my main interest is because of Mary Anning the Victorian fossil hunter, and i went to the Philpot museum which i thought was amazing to visit. Mary really put palentology on the map regarding Lyme Regis and that particular coastline. Of course she had problems with her work as this article says she was a woman in a field which was mostly done by men unfortunately. Mary i think was a woman of great character and intelligence and really did help us understand creatures which had lived millions of years before us humans. I would put Mary on the same level as Gideon Mantell the other Victorian fossil hunter who also discovered ancient fossils.
