Exploring more of Cornwall

Cornwall is such a magic place – it feels separate, wild and untamed, I can see why my friends Nigel and Janice live here. Nigel had a list of must dos which we worked our way through.

  • exploring small harbours like Charlestown
  • walking small parts of the coastal walkway which surrounds Cornwall – Janice regularly takes herself off to walk parts of it.
  • a day on the Lizard – the southern most part of Cornwall and the UK – at the Lizard, you must stop for Anne’s Famous Pasties – truly delectable.
  • a visit FutureWorld at Goonhilly – a retired BT Satellite station which has an education centre about telecommunications – past and future. More importantly it has Segways – the eco-friendly transport of the future, as used by US police forces and security services. I had seen them in Europe used by Police and in USA used by tour groups, and it was great to have a go on one.

Hey Roseberry – now you’ve been to more places in England than me!!! Never been to the misty and mysterious Eden Project or Goonhilly Down – must try harder! Look forward to seeing you soon.
